As part of our commitment to a greener future, we have planted more than 10,000 trees in partnership with schools and communities across Tanzania.
These efforts promote environmental awareness, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods among young people and local residents.
We have worked with over 250 law enforcement officers from Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda,Malawi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo Brazzaville and Cambodia to strengthen cross-border cooperation in combating human trafficking, gender-based violence, and environmental crimes.
Our goal is to foster collaboration, exchange knowledge, and coordinated action to ensure justice across borders.
We have worked with over 150 women through programs focused on human trafficking, gender-based violence, and environmental conservation.
Our approach reduces vulnerability, enhances economic resilience, and inspires women to lead change within their communities.

Human Trafficking
We work to increase the identification of victims and those susceptible to human trafficking. ATI intends to improve the response of the law enforcement community by leveraging the expertise of former and current law enforcement agents to facilitate national and international training on human trafficking.

Environmental and Wildlife Conservation
We champion environmental and wildlife conservation through habitat community partnerships, restoration, and species protection. Our initiatives promote sustainable practices, biodiversity, and renewable energy, to combat climate change and preserve Africa’s natural heritage.

Gender Based Violence
Gender-based violence is a pervasive issue that affects a substantial number of people in Tanzania and across Africa. At ATI, we are committed to combating this problem through education, advocacy, and support. By raising awareness about the impact of gender violence and providing resources for survivors, we can work together to create a more equitable society for all.

Protecting Our Mangroves, Securing Our Future
In the heart of Kigamboni, at Pembamnazi, ATI is working hand in hand with the Government of Tanzania and local communities to restore and protect vital mangrove ecosystems. Mangroves are the lifeline of coastal communities — protecting shorelines from erosion, supporting fisheries, and absorbing large amounts of carbon, making them a key defense against climate change. Yet, unsustainable harvesting, pollution, and unplanned coastal development threaten their survival and the livelihoods of those who depend on them.
If we enhance the identification of victims and strengthen law enforcement responses through expert-led training on human trafficking, environmental crimes, and gender-based violence, and we collaborate with law enforcement, communities, and organisations to improve investigative strategies, raise awareness, then we will create a safer and more just society, with empowered communities and improved legal frameworks. All of this will then contribute to the reduction of human trafficking, environmental crimes, and gender-based violence, ultimately fostering a better world.
